# How To: Burn Tokens
## **Step 1: Access The Dashboard**
1. Open your web browser and navigate to [Seile's homepage](https://seile.xyz/).
2. On the **homepage**, locate the **Dashboard** button in the header.
## **Step 2: Navigate To The Lock/Burn Tool**
1. Once on the **Dashboard**, you will see a suite of tools available.
2. Click on the **Lock & Burn** button to proceed to the Lock, Burn & Vesting options.
## **Step 3: Select The Burn Option**
1. You will now be on the **Lock/Burn** page.
2. Select the **Burn** option under the **Type** section. Ensure it is selected.
## **Step 4: Choose Token And Burn Details**
1. **Select Token:** Use the dropdown menu to select the LP or ERC-20 token you wish to lock.
2. **Enter Amount:** Specify the amount of tokens you want to burn.
3. After entering all the necessary details, click the **Burn Tokens** button at the bottom of the form.
## **Step 5: Confirming The Transaction**
MetaMask will now ask you to confirm the transaction. It will also show you the fee that you are required to pay for that transaction. If you agree, then click on the “Confirm” button to finish the process.
